Cardi B Stuns in Bodysuits and Cutout Dresses in “Hot Sht”

July 13, 2022 at 05:25PM

At long last, Cardi B’s highly anticipated new music video for “Hot Sh*t” is out in the world. A few days after dropping her first single of 2022, which includes Kanye West and Lil Durk as collaborators, the Grammy-winning artist revealed the accompanying visuals on Tuesday, July 12. The production features the rappers in computer-generated scenes, kicking off with Cardi B standing on top of a building in a sci-fi-like costume that could well be part of a robot movie. The “Up” artist is first seen in a black bodysuit, built with a sheer breast-baring top and nipple pasties. The futuristic design is enhanced with silver and black hardware that frames her chest, forms a high neckline, and surrounds her waist. Knee-high patent-leather lace-up boots with metallic knee breeches and leather opera gloves add even more drama.

Directed by Lado Kvataniya, the music video is an imaginative work of art, with bold style moments complemented by the cinematic landscapes. In another scene, two robotic arms set the “Bodak Yellow” star ablaze as she’s clad in a formfitting white maxi gown with swirly cutouts throughout. The floor-sweeping design still stands out against the white background, accessorized by a stack of silver bracelets on each arm and Cardi B’s white-blond hair. Later, the mother of two is decked out in ice jewelry, which is actually a one-of-a-kind Call of Duty necklace created exclusively for the star, according to an Atlantic Records representative. Designed by Omar the Jeweler, the custom piece is the product of a collaboration between the rap icon and the popular video game franchise.

In interjecting scenes, Cardi B is wearing a black bodysuit with protruding gilded hands covering each breast and a sleek leather coat. Lil Durk and Kanye West also make their appearances in perfectly on-theme jacket, face shield, and jeans ensembles. Ahead, see the stunning visuals from the Vogue Singapore July 2022 cover star’s latest video.
