Anne Hathaway Pairs a Rosette Micro Minidress With Platform Heels

April 04, 2023 at 10:11PM

Anne Hathaway looked like a jet-black field of wildflowers on Monday, April 3, while celebrating the opening of the Bulgari Hotel in Tokyo. The “She Came To Me” actress stepped out in a floral dress that was perfect for the transitional season. The Givenchy mini was covered in 3D rosettes and tied at the waist with a black satin bow. Almost a month to the day prior, Anne Hathaway’s dress debuted as part of Givenchy’s Fall 2023 show during Paris Fashion Week, and Hathaway’s stylist, Erin Walsh, was the first one to snap it up. And we couldn’t think of a better occasion.

Hathaway is a Bulgari ambassador, and the choice of a black frock allowed her jewelry to truly shine. She chose a wrapped-around choker from the design house’s Serpenti collection, featuring 2 pear-shaped brilliant cut emerald as eyes and a total of 63.85 carats worth of diamonds throughout. Though partially hidden behind her hair, Hathaway wore two Serpenti earrings, matching the choker in diamonds and emeralds. And the 40-year-old star piled on the rings, wearing statement cocktail, deco-inspired, and serpent-shaped styles.

Her Givenchy dress got a much-needed dose of edge with Santoni platform-heeled sandals. And her hair cascaded down her back in loose beach waves with her bangs falling around her face in an effortless fashion.

Since her “The Devil Wears Prada” days, Hathaway has always mastered the sassy-but-sweet look with ease. Whether it’s a bow-printed dress that’s totally sheer, a bright yellow ruffled midi with an up-to-there slit, or a slim black gown that scallops around the neckline, she loves romantic looks with a daring spin.

Ahead, see Anne Hathaway’s little black dress from all angles.
