If there were a prize for the jacket trend that has been given the most airtime over the last two years, it would have to go to the blazer. As someone who has around five currently sitting in my wardrobe, I can attest to its versatility, timelessness and easiness. With its boxy fit and premium-feel fabric, my Arket wool blazer is a personal highlight, and it seems as though I am not alone in my love for this particular piece, as I’ve spotted it on countless fashionable faces on Instagram.

Coming in a handful of cool colourways—black, navy, beige, burgundy, chocolate brown and an unexpected shot of pink—this blazer has certainly earned its reputation for being a classic wardrobe staple. A popular styling hack is to add it to jeans and a tee, but I have also seen it worn with colour-match trousers for a polished suit finish. Mine is an old grey version from a few years ago, which I’ve worn every season without fail, but I have to say that the navy iteration has also caught my eye. I can imagine it adding interest to clean-lined separates.  Throughout winter, I typically wear mine with roll-necks and jeans then swap out knits for white tees come spring. I have also loved seeing how some fashion editors have styled theirs with shorts and fisherman sandals for the summer months. Scroll down to see the blazer and to shop other Arket jackets.

I shot the black iteration for a blazer try-on story last month, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it.

Lorna invested in the beige blazer, and I love how she styles it with straight-leg jeans and chunky loafers.

Lizzie Hadfield is a big fan of the blazer and is often seen wearing hers with a white tee and straight-leg jeans. So chic.

Take your cues from minimalist queen Alexis Foreman, and style the full suit with an oversized clutch and gold jewellery.

Jessica Skye recently wore her trusty blazer with a simple slip dress and sandals—a look that will work for everything from weddings to dinner dates.
