There are hundreds of thousands of influencers in the social ether, but there are only a handful who we religiously stalk in order to virtually steal the clothes off their backs. Our primary target is Monikh—the London-based styling and shopping guru who seeks out the very coolest buys from every corner of the retail world. From her inspiring tips on rewearing her well-chosen investment items to hunting down the coolest high-street pieces, her Instagram feed, @monikh, and website are a veritable hotbed of things you’re going to want to purchase immediately (and will never regret). Each month, Monikh will share her new picks exclusively for you…

November is here, and that means party season is coming! Lots of soft velvets, sequins and sparkles are a must at this time of the year. Pile on all of the ‘look at me’ textures for long lunches and red wine-filled nights. Whilst it’s easy to fall into the ‘buy once, wear once’ hole for this situation, we know it’s not right, or clever. So, for this month’s post I’ve created an edit of party pieces, which can be worn long after the New Year countdown.

I’ve got a thing for paisley in the winter months.

Looking for a new way to dress up jeans and a tee?

I’m obsessed with the fit on this, perfect shape for teaming with slightly billowy dresses.

The perfect jumper for nights at the pub.

Pink teamed with burgundy lips and nails is unexpectedly chic.

Wear with oversized coats and tall boots in the winter, big sunnies and sandals in the summer.

That wow dress.

Just the right amount of sparkle.

A forever piece.

Wear with jeans, leather trousers or a suede skirt.

Mix up the Christmas party dress code and go with the jumpsuit instead.

Looks vintage and is the perfect companion for those paisley prints.

This month’s edit is all about expensive-looking pieces you can rely on for the next six months.

Coat season is here.

I couldn’t stop looking at these jeans thanks to the cut and the pattern. They’ve lived up to all of my expectations.

I’m a huge lover of oversized shirts, and this green tone will effortlessly mix with the entire edit. Also note that it’s hugely breastfeeding friendly.

I’m wearing that JW Anderson knit in the images (and for the rest of autumn), but if you’re not looking to invest in a luxury piece right now, take a look at this Zara version. The sleeves might not be as exaggerated, but the knit is still bold enough to make a big statement.

Another knit I’ve found myself lusting over this month purely for the matching scarf.

Florals for winter? Yes.

I’m tiptoeing into party season with this feather top. Wear with jeans and kitten heels.

Famous influencer Pernille Teisbaek has launched a collection with Mango, and of course, it reflects her effortless style. I can’t wait to wear this combo together.

Who better to take ’70s style cues from than the French?

Still wanting to get some use out of those spring dresses? Team them with these leather boots and a chunky cardi.

Cue chunky cardigan. Size up twice.

How chic is this entire look! Wear the top with jeans, the jacket with dresses and the skirt with thin knits when the weather gets cooler. But I’ll be making a real statement by wearing them all at once.

Big dinner plans? Team this with a pair of strappy sandals and an oversized clutch.

This dress has been around, and it’s going nowhere anytime soon. Layer with that Zara waistcoat and shearling slides when the Autumn starts to arrive.

I’m pretty into both colours…. Ok I need both colours!

How classic is this butterscotch tone? Wear now slightly open with slip dresses and skirts and later tucked into trousers and jeans.

Uber classic. Wear now with pumps, a headband and a basket bag. Next month with big leather bag and suede boots.

I love tops like this that are detailed enough to work day to night and casual enough to make it look like you haven’t tried.

Yes, there’s still time to invest in sandals, and that’s because these shearling beauties are going to be big news come autumn.

Simple always becomes the most vital piece in your wardrobe.

Start to ‘winter-up’ those summer dresses with A/W accessories. https://www.nanushka.com/products/10637-inci-vegan-leather-midi-skirt-dark-brown

Go one step further and invest in the matching skirt. Team with an uber basic worn-out tee for those effortless points.

It’s that colour again.

Two-pieces are my weakness.

And this set is perfect!

Okay, it may look simple, but teamed with thong sandals and a printed basket bag, this could be your ultimate go-to look—basic always works!

After the success of those Chanel dad sandals—I still wear mine with pride—Prada brought out its own version. Is it time for you to invest?

Jump straight into this look with minimal effort needed.

Is it time to bring back the leather mini? I think so! I wore mine most days in the summer of 2015, and I miss that look. Combined with chunky sandals and a silk top, it was summer day-to-night at its finest.

A new garden table centre piece for when the girls are over.

Etro vibes at a fraction of the price.

Because we love a full look. Team these with the embroidered Zara shirt and simple accessories.

Effortless and chic. Style this dress with a silk slip underneath and a leather jacket on your shoulders.

I can’t stop thinking about a red-orange lipstick to wear with those beige looks for the evening, so I’m bringing back the old cult, Lady Danger.

I love her bags! There’s a new colourway/fabric to obsess over each season, and this time, it’s all about the raffia.

A print that screams summer.

It’s all about matching your nail polish to your lipstick.

Well done to ACNE for making a pair of crochet trousers that aren’t just for the beach. Throw on an oversize shirt or tee and simple flip-flops. These trousers are loud but in the subtlest way.

This is so chic! Keep it super minimal. Basic hair and makeup, flat flip-flops and an oversized basket bag.

The other day I actually went out for dinner! Yes, I was out (kind of). I really struggled to find a fancy bag for a nighttime look but still casual enough to keep that laid-back vibe. I needed this.

Team with a crop top, T-shirt or oversized shirt.

I love the minimal vibe, love the fabric and love that it’s made to order. Mine is being made right now, and I cannot wait to get my hands on it!

Thinking about upgrading your mini fan? Say hello to Ferns Fans.

There’s nothing worse than piling more makeup on in this hot weather, especially when you took so long getting that natural look. So when your skin starts shinning in a bad way, grab one of these blot sheets to absorb that extra oil. Much better than adding more powder.

I love the neutral tones because they will go with everything.

We all need a white, puff-sleeved dress in our wardrobes.

Very. Chic.

A put-together everyday bag.

No idea what to wear? Put this on.

Okay, I can’t lie, my little sister got to this dress first. But there’s nothing wrong with a little twinning, plus that blue hue is just so cooling.

I adore the simplicity.

This open-collar shirt will double up as a light jacket when you’re in the shade.

Remember, lots of linen!

I constantly talk about this product, but it’s so useful. Dab on eyelids, cheeks and lips.

How amazing is this colour?

Our very own Joy has been rocking a waistcoat with oversized trousers, and I now need a waistcoat and oversized trousers.

The gladiator trend is back.

I’ve been thinking more about accessories this season, and I think the statement bangle might be the one for me.

What a colour! Wear with a printed tee and white trainers.

Very chic.

Yes, I’m a little crochet obsessed this season.

Can you be a realist and an optimist? Well anyway, we live in the UK, so it’s best to take a jacket out with you just in case.
