We’re into that funny time of year where it’s not quite warm per se, and it’s not quite layering up for winter time. Autumn, that’ll be it. And although we love this season for the leaves (the leaves!), it can be a difficult one to dress for. Transitional, in-betweeny seasons always are, but let’s look at the positives: it’s the perfect temperature for wearing a blazer without a coat on top, you can still wear a dress with chunky boots and no tights, and if you go out for the evening you can get away with a slinky outfit (and maybe a leather jacket) without the risk of freezing.
Luckily Nasty Gal has just launched a new drop of transitional pieces; it’s as if they knew we were in need of inspiration. There’s a healthy dose of ‘autumn cosy’– including some perfect knit dresses, relaxed tailoring and a grey coat just asking to be taken on all those crisp walks. But there’s also a nod to the upcoming festivities too, with a great selection of going out outfits— from understated slip dresses to the perfect nice tops to pair with jeans. Wear them now for fun catch ups and come December you’ll have a wardrobe full of party wear ready to go.
We’ve edited the new collection down to 25 of our favourite pieces below. Most of them are classic styles that you’ll want to wear again and again, sitting just the right side of trend-led to feel modern now but also carry over easily into future seasons. And there’s a couple of bright, fun pieces (because what’s fashion without a little fun?)— like the chequerboard knit that reminds us of that Kendall Jenner jumper, and a retro printed co-ord so good we’re just desperate to find a place to wear it.
So, whether your brain is still wrapping itself around autumn dressing or you can already feel yourself getting hyped up for party season— you know what to do (keep scrolling!).
