There’s nothing quite like the inexplicable satisfaction of a really good outfit. Sometimes it can be hard to put your finger on what it is exactly that makes something work: It could be a cleverĀ colour combination, an unexpected silhouette or evenĀ a subtleĀ trim on a pair of trousers. As fashion editors, it isĀ our job to keep an eye out for these winning ensembles. It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it. We even have a channel on Slack that is literally dedicated to great outfits, and boy, are thereĀ plenty to choose from.Ā
This story is essentially aĀ line-up of all the fabulous outfits that haveĀ been given the Slack-channel seal of approval. I find that the looks that stand out to me are often relatively simple in composition but pack a punchĀ via colour, printĀ or fabric.Ā Tonal dressing is the perfect example of this, and many of my chosen outfits go with theĀ colour-match approach, be itĀ mintĀ green or zesty orange. It’s so simple yetĀ so effective.Ā
